WHAT IS FMHCA SA?

FMHCA SA is a professional body dedicated to promoting Functional Medicine Health Coaching aligned with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) paradigm. It is a holistic and patient-centered approach to healthcare that goes beyond symptom management. Functional Medicine focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness, rather than merely treating symptoms. It views the body as an interconnected system, where imbalances in one area can affect overall health and well-being.

As FM Health Coaches, we play a crucial role by providing personalised support and guidance to individuals.

Our Health Coaches work alongside clients to explore their unique health history, genetic influences and lifestyle factors.

We help clients implement sustainable lifestyle changes, such as dietary modifications, stress management techniques, and exercise programs, to optimise their health outcomes.
